Prophets in the Qur'an, Volume 1: The Early Prophets

It is important to realize - in an age where the majority of the world’s populations do not have a clear understanding either of what prophethood and messengership entail, or of the fact that all of the prophets were related to each other- that all of the prophet after the prophet Adam were descended from him, and that all of the prophet after prophet Nuh were descended from him, and that all of the prophet after the prophet Ibrahim were descended from him, may Allah bless them and grant them peace.

It is also important to understand that the original teachings of all the prophets were fundamentally the same, and that it is a man who has changed and redefined some of them, that today many people mistakenly believe that they have at their disposal a selections of unconnected yet equally valid religious from which they are free to choose- or not, if they so desire- according to their taste.

By gathering together, in this book, most of the ayat which describe each of the prophet in the Glorious Qur’an –the Book that was revealed to the last of the prophets, Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace- it is hoped that such misconceptions will be dispelled, and that the true nature of life’s journey will be more self-evident:

The messenger believes in what has been revealed to him from his Lord and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allah and in His angels and in His Books and in His messengers- We make no distinctions between any of His messengers- and they say, ‘We hear and we obey. Grant us your forgiveness, our lord, and to you is the journeying.’ (Qur’an:2.285)
